Swimmers! Stay tuned to this section for important notices about meets, pot lucks, team photos, and other messages from the coaches.
Just a reminder that we need many volunteers for both home and away meets to make the meets run smoothly. In addition, food donations are necessary to help defray costs for our home meets. We ask that all families volunteer with meet assignments and donations in order to keep the registration costs manageable. This season, we will post volunteer/signup sheets for all of the meets at the beginning of the season to make it easier for people to sign up. Please take this requirement seriously and help us to have an enjoyable season.
Meet Sign Out Sheet
Any swimmer unable to attend a meet should sign out no later than the Tuesday before the meet. Sign out sheets will be posted on the swim team bulletin board (between the bathrooms). The coaches start to develop the lineup for Saturday meets the Wednesday prior and they need to know who will be in attendance in order to properly strategize and increase the teamís chance of scoring well at the meet, so please don't forget to sign out.
Catonsville Candy Lane Invitational Meet
New, this season... Rollingwood will host an invitational meet on July 6 (rain date July 7) with teams in and around the Catonsville area. The meet format will be individual 25s and 50s as well as some relay events not normally swum during the CMSL season. This meet will serve as a main fundraiser for the season and we will need lots of volunteers to make it run smoothly. We are planning a fun tee shirt, door prizes, and great concessions. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
Pot Luck/Parent Meeting, Friday June 17
A swim team pot luck/parent meeting will be held in the Rollingwood pavilion on June 17th (evening before time trials) at 6:00pm. We welcome seasoned and new parents to attend so we can provide an overview of the season as well as some additional information about meets and schedule. Bring a dish to share and the Seals will provide lemonade and cake. The coaches comments will start at approximately 7:00pm. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with our great coaching staff so please try to come out!
