Rollingwood Swim Club
Swim Team (2015)
The Seals swim in Division 3 of the Central Maryland Swim League (CMSL). The program provides a fun and competitive atmosphere for swimmers of all ability and runs from the beginning of June through the end of July with daily practices on Monday through Friday with five dual meets scheduled on Saturdays throughout the season. Swim Team registration is open to kids of all ages as long as they are active members. The main qualification for our younger swimmers is that they are able to swim one lap of the pool (25 meters) unassisted.
The Seals are pleased to welcome back Coaches Joe, Tyler, Sophie, Brady, and Cassie and are very happy to add Megan Lehane to our 2015 coaching staff. We are sad to say goodbye this season to Coach Courtney but she has promised to come and visit us during the season. The coaches are looking forward to a great season!!!
Registration will be held in the Rollingwood pavilion on May 24th and May 25th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Please fill out the registration form below and bring it with you along with your registration payment (cash or check made out to Rollingwood Pool Inc). If you are unable to attend registration, you may bring the form with you and provide to Coach Joe with your payment or you may mail the form (with payment) to our swim team Rep, Bill Protzman (mailing instructions ore on the form).
Cys of Catonsville (our team suit provider) will be at Rollingwood during registration (1:00pm to 3:00pm) on Monday, May 25th. Cy's will have suits to try and purchase and will also have goggles and other swim gear available for purchase.
Please note that you cannot attend practice without having submitted your registration. The registration fee for 2015 will be $75.00 per swimmer for first three swimmers (fee is waived for 4th+ swimmers). We are planning more fundraisers and team sales this season so we ask that you please try to volunteer and participate in these events so that we can keep the registration fees as low as possible (support your Seals!!!). Also, please note that $14 of the registration fee is paid directly to AAU to cover the cost of swimmer insurance.

New Food Coordinator Needed

Seals Adult Night Pit Beef Fundraisers
Based on the success of last seasons' Open Pit Beef Seals fundraiser, the Seals have decided to do the cooking on Wednesday July 8th. The Seals will sell open pit turkey and beef along with swim team fries. We will need all of the volunteers and support we can get so please consider coming out to donate some time and eat some sandwiches!
Pot Luck/Parent Meeting, Friday June 12
A swim team pot luck/parent meeting will be held in the Rollingwood pavilion on June 12th (evening before time trials) at 6:00pm. We welcome seasoned and new parents to attend so we can provide an overview of the season as well as some additional information about meets and schedule. Bring a dish to share and the Seals will provide lemonade and cake. The coaches comments will start at approximately 7:00pm. This is a great opportunity to meet and talk with our great coaching staff so please try to come out!
Meet Sign Out Sheet
Any swimmer unable to attend a meet should sign out no later than the Tuesday before the meet. Sign out sheets will be posted on the swim team bulletin board (between the bathrooms). The coaches start to develop the lineup for Saturday meets the Wednesday prior and they need to know who will be in attendance in order to properly strategize and increase the teamís chance of scoring well at the meet, so please don't forget to sign out.
