Swim Team (2015)
The Seals swim in Division 3 of the Central Maryland Swim League (CMSL). The program provides a fun and competitive atmosphere for swimmers of all ability and runs from the beginning of June through the end of July with daily practices on Monday through Friday with five dual meets scheduled on Saturdays throughout the season. Swim Team registration is open to kids of all ages as long as they are active members. The main qualification for our younger swimmers is that they are able to swim one lap of the pool (25 meters) unassisted.
Congratulations to the Seals who lost a hard fought meet against the Waugh Chapel Sea Dogs on July 3rd. The Seals next meet will be a home meet against Bolton Hill on Saturday July 11th. Results have been posted to the meet table below and the top times are accessible from the Individual Times link above.
Congratulations to Chris Krabbe who broke three 15-18 boys team records at the July 3rd meet against Waugh Chapel. Chris broke his own 50 fly record (27.31) set last season with a new time of 27.02. Chris also broke the 100 free record (54.84) set by Tyler Szarko in 2009 with a new time of 54.27. Finally, Chris took down the 50 back record from 1998 (29.92) held by Mark Shimko with a new time of 29.84. Congratulations Chris!!!
9-10 Boys Knock Down Relay Record
Congratulations to our 9-10 Boys relay team of Nathan Pittroff, Brian Ruppel, Jonah Stein, and Josh Vahlsing who set a team record for the 9-10 boys relay with a time of 2.24:85 beating the previous record of 2.27:32 set in 2014 by Perry, Pittroff, Ruppel, and Stein.

Inclement Weather Policy
The Seals will practice rain or shine as long as the pool remains open. If the pool is closed for weather, practice will not be held.
Team Suits 2015
Team suits are available from Cy's Swim Shop (on Frederick Road in Catonsville). This is the second year of a two year suit. The suit is Team Camo from Speedo and the prices are listed below. Cy's will be at Rollingwood on May 25th for fittings and suit purchases. If you need to purchase additional swim gear, please stop by Cy's and tell them you are a Rollingwood Swim Team member and receive a 10% discount.
Cys will be at Rollingwood during swim team registration on Monday May 25th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
Latex swim caps are provided to each swimmer by the team and Silicone swim caps are available for purchase from Bill Protzman. Rollingwood wear will be available for purchase from the Seals E-Store (The Rollingwood link will be the green button at the bottom of the screen on the left hand side of the page - marked Rollingwood). E-Store sales will be open until June 11, in order that we can have our team gear by the first meet. Please visit early to purchase your Seals gear!

Rollingwood provides both morning and evening swim practices. Please note that evening practices during the regular season are intended for those families that cannot attend the morning sessions and as lanes will be limited, we ask that you please attend the morning practices if you are able.
Regular Season Practice Schedule (June 20th - July 24th)
Regularly scheduled practices will commence on Monday, June 20th and will run through the end of the season. Both morning and evening practices schedules will be observed in accordance with the following schedule.

Practice is an important part of improvement and as the season is short, we respectfully ask that parents try their best to make sure that their children attend practices as scheduled. Practices will be held rain or shine.

Rollingwood Team Apparel Store Re-opened

Practice Cancelled Tuesday Evening, July 7
Due to the Rock and Roll Relay Meet, practices will be canxcelled onm the evening of Tuesday July 2nd.
Wynnewood Rock and Roll Relays, Tuesday July 7
The Wynnewood Rock ‘n Roll Relays will be held Tues, July 7 (rain date Wed, July 8). This is a multi-team, all relay fun meet. A professional DJ will be playing music throughout the evening prior to and during the swimming events. The meet start time is 6:30pm and open warm ups begin at 4:30pm and run until 6:00pm. Each team is asked to provide a clerk of course and timers. Refreshments will be provided at the Teepee Café, serving a full dinner menu including: Canopy pit beef and turkey sandwiches, Warrior Fries, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, nachos and many other snacks and drinks. Rock n Roll Relays meet T-Shirts will be available in child & adult sizes.
Seals Adult Night Pit Beef Fundraisers, Wednesday July 8
Based on the success of last seasons' Open Pit Beef Seals fundraiser, the Seals have decided to do the cooking on Wednesday July 8th. The Seals will sell open pit turkey and beef along with swim team fries. We will need all of the volunteers and support we can get so if you are able to help, please just show up at the event on the evening of the 8th and ask for an assignment. Only those 21+ will be able to attend at the pool, but carry out orders are available (see the site home page).
Pot Luck/Pep Rally, Friday July 10
We will have a pot luck pep rally art Rollingwood (in the pavilion) on Friday July 10th starting at 6:00pm with coaches remarks at 7:00pm. Bring a dish to share and the Seals will provide drinks. Click the signup link below to volunteer to help and to let us know what you will be bringing.
Rollingwood vs Bolton Hill, Saturday July 11
Our fourth dual meet of the season will be held Saturday July 11th at Rollingwood. A sign out sheet will be posted to the team bulletin board. We will need volunteers to work this meet and we will also need donations. The volunteer signup link will be posted shortly.
Andover Novice Meet, Tuesday July 15
The Andover Novice Meet will be held Wed, July 15 (rain date Thurs, July 16). This is a multi-team, all relay fun meet. The meet will start at 5:45pm and Rollingwood warmups will be from 5:00pm to 5:30pm. The novice meet is focused on swimmers that do not usually receive ribbons in dual meets and swimmers must be slower than the published qualifying times. Medals will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place and rosette ribbons will be awarded for 4th through 12th places.
Swimmers that want to participate in this meet MUST sign up. Coaches will talk to swimmers about this meet or feel free to ask the coaches if your swimmers qualify. A signup sheet will be posted on the bulletin board shortly.
